Trading places in Greater China: DDB's Ng, Linmon's Lu, Charm's Tsang and more

Here is a roundup of recent people moves in advertising, marketing, media and digital in Greater China that have not already been reported by Campaign. Please let us know if we missed anyone.

Trading places in Greater China: DDB's Ng, Linmon's Lu, Charm's Tsang and more

Jit Hoong Ng (伍一菘, pictured) has assumed a new client-side position at Galaxy Entertainment Group as assistant senior vice president of resort marketing services, based in Macau. Ng quit DDB after eight years, with his most recent role overseeing the entire operations of DDB Shanghai Group (DDB Advertising, Tribal DDB, RAPP). This is the second senior departure from DDB since Jan 2016.

Carat Beijing has promoted Christina Chu (朱煜嫻) to managing director from general manager, because CEO Adil Zaim feels Chu has consistently delivered results for international and local clients including Unilever, P&G, IBM and Yili. Prior to joining Carat, she held management positions at Mindshare China.

Manfred Tsang (曾艺民) is the new GM-in-charge of the Shanghai branch of Charm Communications, reporting directly to chief executive Dang He (党郃). Previously, he served as the general manager of Havas Media Shanghai since June 2013. With over 20 years of media planning and account management experience, Tsang has also worked at ZenithOptimedia and OMD in the past.

Ogilvy & Mather China has promoted Frangelica Liang (梁凤妹), currently Ogilvy Public Relations vice president, to managing director of its Guangzhou office. Liang will supervise all operations of Ogilvy & Mather, Ogilvy PR and Neo@Ogilvy for the southern China market.

Lu Sensen (鹿森森) has joined Linmon Pictures as account director of branded content, having overall responsibility for the company's commercial cooperation with film and television producers, spanning product placements and joint promotions. He moved from He Song Media, owned by Chinese actress Li Bingbing (李冰冰), where he was entertainment marketing director for nearly two years.

Having been part of Edelman's healthcare practice in Shanghai for the past four years, Anita Cai (蔡云博) has been named national general manager of healthcare, from her previous title senior director and national health practice lead.

IPG Mediabrands China has appointed Aaron Tsoi (蔡廷彬) and Lester Ng (黄兆雄) as managing director and client managing partner respectively. Tsoi was from AirMedia; and Ng from Grain and Pixel. Both now report to CEO Tom Wan (温铭辉).

Jackson Kwok (郭耀辉), who was one of the founding members of OMD Hong Kong 16 years ago, has resigned from Omnicom Media Group. Kwok was promoted to CEO for OMG HK in 2010. At the moment, he is still exploring career opportunities outside the agency circuit, such as at a media vendor or startup.
