Mishra (pictured) will lead the planning team for the P&G businesses managed by Starcom, helping both the agency and the client to manage significant media investments across Greater China.

He will work alongside Jaswinder Kaur, Starcom’s strategic lead for P&G across Asia, and Bertilla Teo, North Asia CEO of Starcom MediaVest Group.

Mishra replaces Puneet Arora, former head of P&G planning team at Starcom MediaVest Guangzhou, who resigned from the company last March after a year in the role. Arora subsequently joined Maxus Asia-Pacific as regional managing partner.

Mishra has 15 years of communications industry experience. He started his career at Contract Advertising before moving on to senior positions at Starcom, Initiative and finally MEC. He was most recently country head for Connext, part of MudraMax, an Omnicom network agency group in India.

Reported last September, P&G awarded its media account across five Southeast Asian markets to MediaCom. The markets awarded are Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand as well as in Japan.  The appointment broke P&G's decade-long relationship with Starcom in those markets.
