Arora replaced Mabel Leung, Starcom Guangzhou's managing director for the P&G team, in September when Leung resigned after completing her two-year contract. Leung went on to become the regional head of brand and insights at AXA Asia-Pacific Holdings.

A undisclosed source said that Arora is returning to Singapore for family reasons. The agency has not yet found his replacement, but Jaswinder Kaur, Starcom MediaVest Group's strategic lead for P&G in Asia, will be based in Guangzhou in the interim, to take on Arora's role.

Starcom serves P&G accounts in over 80 countries.

A long-serving senior executive of Starcom MediaVest Group, Arora was also MD for Beijing and Shanghai for almost two years, MD for Starcom HK for three years, GM and country head for Starcom Korea for two years, as well as holding senior management roles at Starcom in the Philippines and India since 2000.
