PEOPLE MOVES

Fox Networks Group Asia named Mike Rich as executive vice president of advertising sales and content partnerships for Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Simeon Dawes, who held the same title, as well as that of managing director of Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Middle East, will leave the group by the end of April, and will focus on a health and nutrition distribution business.

Publicis Singapore hired Fajar Kurnia and Jeremy Chia as executive creative directors. They will replace departing co-ECDs Troy Lim and Jon Loke effective 1 June. Kurnia and Chia are currently regional creative directors at Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore and have been creative partners for almost a decade. Lim and Loke joined Publicis with much fanfare from Ogilvy in October 2015.

BBDO Guerrero promoted Cristina Buenaventura to head of planning; named Karen Go, Ethel Dino-Datario and Angelica Lorenzi as client service directors; and promoted John Unson to director of marketing.

Burson-Marsteller hired Qu Hong as Beijing market leader. He returns to the firm having worked as director and chief consultant of government relations and public policy between 2005 and 2012. Hong was most recently chief consultant of public affair and public policies at Edelman China, and has also worked for Weber Shandwick China in a similar capacity.

DDB Group Hong Kong appointed Jamal Hamidi as executive creative director for global business and Justin Bonnett to a dual role as head of DDB Live (the agency’s activation and experiential arm) and business director for international business. Hamidi is returning to DDB Group Hong Kong after serving as ECD at Edelman Australia. Bonnett joins from Jack Morton Worldwide in Hong Kong, where he was VP business director.

Naveen Gaur was appointed COO of Lowe Lintas. He was previously president of the agency in charge of New Delhi operations. Gaur joined Lowe Lintas in 2010 from McCann Worldgroup India.

Saatchi & Saatchi Australia hired Sesh Moodley as deputy ECD in Sydney. He was most recently ECD at Victors & Spoils Boulder in the US and before that creative director with Crispin Porter + Bogusky.



iCar Asia, owner of Asean's largest network of automotive websites, hired Jonathan Adams as CMO. Adams was previously general marketing manager for iProperty Group, and replaces Harry Antarakis, who has left the business.

Frost*collective appointed Katie Lodge as new business manager of its branded environment
business, Urbanite. She joins from global real estate service provider Savills, where she was marketing and business development manager.

BUSINESS WINS

Biorna Quantics, a “quantitative wellness and performance startup”, has appointed AnalogFolk as its digital agency of record to handle all global strategic and creative work, after a competitive pitch against four other agencies. The account will be run from AnalogFolk Hong Kong, with support from the agency’s Sydney, London, New York and Portland offices.

Hong Kong PR agency Prime was appointed by handbag and accessories maker Dooney & Bourke as it expands its ecommerce business to Hong Kong and China.

Customer experience firm Kalido won two new clients in Asia-Pacific, AXA and Johnson & Johnson. The agency also added three new staff members, doubling its team, including Adam Must as SEA head of operations and service delivery.

OTHER NEWS

Essence set up a new global analytics hub in New Delhi, India. It will focus on campaign analytics for global clients, and R&D for mobile analytics, machine learning social data mining and other technological developments. Qianqian Wu was named global director of the hub.
