Publicis Media has won the digital merchandising business account for Microsoft.

Focusing on ecommerce and digital content delivery, Publicis Media’s commerce division will handle the work in seven Asia-Pacific markets: Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

The agency will provide its services across several Microsoft product lines, including Windows, Office, Xbox and Surface.

“We are thrilled to have Microsoft come on board. Publicis Media is the first to offer comprehensive support and offerings at the intersection of media and commerce,” said Ken Mandel, president of innovation and commerce at Publicis Media APAC.

In addition, Publicis Media has made several new hires to its APAC commerce team. Raunak Mehta has joined as head of e-commerce strategy and consulting, bringing six years’ experience from Flipkart and Zalora.

Gosia Rakowska has been appointed head of e-merchandising, focusing on brands and retailers. She was previously at Saatchi & Saatchi and HP.

Finally, Kate Tan has joined as an e-commerce strategist, having come from an e-commerce startup background.
