Head of UK tourism Olympics effort to headline travel conference

SINGAPORE - Chris Foy, head of the 2012 Games Unit at VisitBritain, the UK's national tourism agency, will headline the Campaign Spotlight Travel, coming up 18 May in Singapore.

Foy has been working on the Olympic project since 2009, leading VisitBritain's strategy development for the 2012 Olympic Games and implementing projects including British tourism’s presence at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games, Olympic Partner marketing with Samsung, and a nationwide business engagement project alongside London 2012.
 
Prior to working on the Games, Foy managed VisitBritain's marketing partnerships with the devolved nations and regions of Britain. His background is in marketing, with previous roles at Visit London, Historic Royal Palaces and in the ski industry. He is a regular speaker on sport and Olympic tourism issues at industry events and conferences.
