The Austin defines lifestyle through art in micro-films

HONG KONG – The Austin, a luxury property development in Hong Kong, has released a series of micro-films showcasing the development's 'intrinsic' artistic lifestyle.

The three short films, created by Draftfcb Hong Kong, will screen on YouTube and the company website.

Each film features curator William Zhao asking three artists—from Beijing (above), Paris and South Korea (below)—“What is art?” The artists respond by defining art from different perspectives.

“Art and culture is intrinsic to The Austin, and we wanted this to shine through in the films,” said Iris Lo, managing director and ECD of Draftfcb Hong Kong. “Just as art can be interpreted in multiple different ways, we believe the unique features The Austin holds mean that residents of this development can define how they live their lives here in a multitude of ways also.”

The Austin, located in the cultural district of West Kowloon, is being developed by Wheelock Properties, New World Development Company Limited and MTR Corporation Limited.
