Publicis recruits Snoop Dogg to celebrate becoming 'number one' holding company

The rap star joined Publicis Groupe chairman and CEO Arthur Sadoun in annual 'Wishes' film.

Publicis has recruited Snoop Dogg to celebrate becoming the world’s largest advertising holding company.

The group tapped the global entertainment icon to headline its "Wishes" film as it announces it is on track to become the world’s largest advertising holding company by the end of 2024.

It marks the first time a French holding company has claimed the top spot in the global advertising industry, a major achievement in Publicis’ 98-year history.

The announcement was made through The Publicis Wishes, the company’s annual tongue-in-cheek short film tradition.

This year’s film combines the festive race for Christmas number one with the excitement of the Paris Olympics, in which Snoop Dogg – already the official hype man for the Games – plays a starring role in heralding Publicis’ achievement.

With estimated 2024 fiscal revenues projected at €13.9 billion, ($14.7 billion) Publicis Groupe is set to surpass its closest competitor, which is forecast to hit €13.5 billion ($14.3 billion).

The Groupe’s year-to-date results of €10.1 billion ($10.7 billion) have already outpaced the current market leader’s €9.8 billion ($10.4 billion).
