Network 18 | Public Service Announcement Films | India

India's media conglomerates Network 18 has taken the opportunity to roll out a series of public service commercials as the country nears its Independence Day.

The ad skews away from the usual cheerful, nationalistic approach and features people who have struggled in their own way to assert their place in a modern India. The stars in this commercial are real-life children from blind schools, orphans, families of war heroes, ex-servicemen and the Aman Peace committee, which protested against the CST Railway terrorist incident last year.

The other four public service spots look more closely into current society issues such as child abuse, HIV protection and copyright issues in the music industry.
