C AllStar brings back '70s memories for Frutips juicy berries

HONG KONG - Nestle Frutips has introduced four new berry flavours, and to promote this locally, Leo Burnett Hong Kong has created a witty viral retro video transforming Hong Kong's vocal band C AllStar into “berries” “四子莓”.

wide player in 16:9 format. Used on article page for Campaign.

Parodying the 1970s song "四朵金花" ("Four golden blossoms"), the retro music video brings viewers down memory lane as the four members of C AllStar dance in dazzling outfits while wearing giant hairdos and singing the old favourite (albeit with new lyrics).

Leo Burnett Hong Kong was the core creative agency for the viral film for youtube, which was aired in late August. There will also be a TVC tag-on and poster/POSM.

Connie Lo, the agency's ECD, told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the new product has four different flavours in one pack. “We just want to have fun with it and did not add too much unnecessary logic to it,” she said.

Even people who weren't around to experience the '70s in person are enjoying the video, she added. “Surprisingly younger netizens found it fun too—shared the video and even looked up the original song online.”
