Twenty3 selected to handle PR, media duties for Melbourne Stars

MELBOURNE - Sport and entertainment marketing consultancy Twenty3 Group has been appointed as the PR and media agency for cricket team the Melbourne Stars.

The consultancy has a rapidly expanding list of high-profile sports clients including the PGA of Australia, the Victoria Racing Club and Football Federation Australia.   

CEO of the Melbourne Stars, Clint Cooper said, “We’re looking forward to making a big impression on the coming season’s competition. We’ve consciously gone out to put together a formidable on as well as off-field team who are geared for success and delighted to have added the Twenty3 Group to that team.”

“The formation of the new domestic Twenty20 league is the next frontier for cricket in this country. Building the brand credentials of a new start-up sporting franchise is a challenging yet exciting assignment. We’re extremely proud to add the Melbourne Stars to our client roster,” noted John Tripodi, chief executive officer of the Twenty3 Group.

Heading up the management of the Melbourne Stars’ PR and Media business at the Twenty3 Group will be new recruit Jessica Cook who brings her recent experience managing media and communications for the Indian Premier League (IPL) in India to the Melbourne Stars account. Her appointment is effective immediately.
