Taishin International Bank, one of the biggest financial clients in Taiwan, has spent aggressively in media in the past two years.

"They are second or third largest media spender in the financial category after China Trust, and are likely to increase their spending even more next year," said an undisclosed source.

"The financial sector will be bullish next year, as the economy in Taiwan is bouncing back from the recession. Many banks are walking out from the shadows after the past few years," the source added.

It is understood that Taishin Bank's pitch also involved a media pitch that also took place last week. The results of both pitches are said to be imminent.
