The result of a separate media pitch, which was also called in December, has not yet been revealed.

According to industry insiders, Taishin is the second or third largest media spender in the financial category on the island, following China Trust. The bank has spent aggressively in media in the past two years and is likely to increase their spending even more next year.

According to local news reports, Taishin International Bank's pretax profits in the first 11 months of 2010 was US$327.19 million (NT$10.143 billion).
