Spring Singapore appoints Mediabrands to media account

SINGAPORE - Spring Singapore, the local enterprise development agency, is believed to have handed its media account estimated to be worth US$1.4 million to IPG's Mediabrands.

Ten agencies including GroupM, Starcom, ZenithOptimedia and OMD have responded to the Spring Singapore tender.

Starcom and Maxus are some of the agencies that have previously worked with Spring Singapore.

The Government body has appointed Mediabrands for a period of one year. It had put the media tender in October this year. Spring Singapore is also on a lookout for a creative agency.

The Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board (Spring) helps to grow innovative companies and a competitive SME sector in the city-state and also aids enterprises in financing, management development, technology and innovation.

As the national standards and accreditation body, Spring also develops and promotes internationally recognised standards and quality assurance to enhance Singaporean companies’ competitiveness while facilitating trade.
