Rediffusion Y&R appoints Rahul Roy as planning head for South India

MUMBAI - Rediffusion Y&R has hired Rahul Roy from Lowe Malaysia as the new planning head for South India.

Roy will be working closely with the agency's regional and global teams in overseeing a broad range of clients in the fashion, FMCG and healthcare industries. “I believe it is essential to design distinct, effective, efficient communication and business growth strategies for the success of clients’ brands,” said Roy.

Roy will report to Arvind Mohan, chief strategy officer who was promoted to the Y&R Global Planning board early last year.

Prior to joining Rediffusion Y&R, Roy spent two years at Lowe Malaysia and India. He worked as the head and director of strategic planning in Malaysia, and later as associate VP of strategy planning in Lowe Lintas India. During his time at the agency Roy received an Effie Gold & Silver.

His career also spans across other ad agencies including Bates Asia, Ogilvy and BBDO and major clients including Johnson & Johnson, IBM, ICI Paints, Ikea and Sara Lee.
