Around four agencies are understood to have been invited to the media planning and buying pitch, slated to be held next week. The business is believed to be currently held by Vizeum.

The media review follows the creative pitch held by Perodua earlier this year. It was reported at the time that Perodua’s media spend last year on television and print exceed RM27 million.

Perodua frequently ranks first in Malaysian new vehicle sales, taking the top spot in 2011 for the sixth consecutive year. It delivered 179,989 units of the Myvi, Viva and Alza to take 30 per cent of the Malaysian market, a marginally lower share and volume than the year before.

Perodua did not respond to a request for comments before press time.
