Aqua City is a marine themed area which includes a Grand Aquarium, Symbio Show (a 360 degree water show) and a restaurant where you can dine with the resident fish.

Metta Communications and Mediacom Hong Kong are the creative and media agency partners behind this campaign.

The agency team used a wide media mix of advertising across TV, mass newspapers, magazines (with advertorial and die-cut booklet stick on), online, Admiralty MTR station platform zone domination and taxis.

In the 45-second TVC, a father and son are fishing in the middle of the sea. The son catches a fish but it turns out to be an animated one. When the sea suddenly parts in two like the Red Sea, they fall down into an underwater world which turns out to be Aqua City full of sea creatures with amazing visual effects.

The TV spot launched yesterday evening and will continue to run until mid-March on TVB Jade and Pearl.

At Admiralty MTR station, posters running on walls and pillars use a special visual effect called lenticular, which displays a ‘symbio’ show of the story of the water and fire dragon.
