The win came after a competitive pitch, held in March with a number of undisclosed agencies.
An M&C Saatchi spokesman was unable to reveal details of the project but said it was a significant win for the agency. Chris Jaques, CEO of M&C Saatchi, said the Hong Kong team was excited to be working with CLP Power. “The brand is one of the few that are synonymous with the success of Hong Kong - but also the scope of the services it offers goes way beyond the mere provision of power," he said. "The challenges and opportunities it represents make it an incredibly exciting win for us all.”
Bernard Chan, M&C Saatchi’s senior creative director, said the "major" project had the office on enthusiastic edge.
“Everyone here is raring to go," he said. "Capturing the richness, scale and dynamism of the whole CLP brand, then distilling it to a brutally simple campaign idea is a big task that requires big strategic and creative solutions. We have no doubt that it will be a very fulfilling experience.”
