Haier appoints Maxus China

SHANGHAI - Global appliance giant Haier has appointed Maxus China as its media agency-of-record in the market following a four-way pitch that ousted one-year incumbent Initiative Media.

Haier appoints Maxus China
The one-year contract includes the media planning duties for all Haier’s product lines in China.

According to the white goods company, Maxus China was selected in part because of its ability to bolster Haier’s profile, not just in China, but across the globe.

“Maxus was selected as our media communications partner for its strong media strategy and management, media evaluation tools, digital marketing, its talent and other diversified service offerings,” said a Haier spokeswoman in a release.

A price tag for the account has not been released.
