Samsonite enlists Kozue Akimoto to tout Polygon lineup

Japanese model appears in multi-market campaign by Cheil Hong Kong.

Samsonite is rolling out a campaign in which Japanese model Kozue Akimoto rolls out luggage in the company's designer line, called the Polygon Collection.

Cheil Hong Kong is the agency behind the 'Shape your style' campaign. The video above has already been released and a print campaign (examples below) is launching in Japan, Korea and Hong Kong in the next two weeks.

Jimmy Ming Shum, a Tokyo-based, Hong Kong photographer and director known for a popular photography column called 'Tokyo Girl', directed the video.

Akimoto has a high public profile, and her angular features seem well-matched to the product's aesthetic, so the campaign is likely to appeal to the fashion-conscious set.

Ad Nut salutes the brave souls who are willing to invest in such impressive luggage knowing its perfection won't last long. If Ad Nut bought baggage that fancy, Ad Nut would probably keep it safely at home, and would have to buy a cheaper set for actual travel.
