Zenith Media expands China Mobile business with Anhui win

BEIJING - Zenith Media has won an extra piece of China Mobile business after being awarded the media planning account for Anhui Mobile.

Zenith Media expands China Mobile business with Anhui win
The agency scooped the business after a four-way pitch against Mindshare Nanjing, recently rebranded as GroupM Nanjing, Starcom and a local agency.

The pitch for the $2 million media account took place after the National Day holiday in October. This is the first time the client has worked with a 4As agency.

Derek Kwok, MD, China, Zenith Media, said: “We already hold several of China Mobile’s accounts in various provinces in China, including its headquarters in Beijing, so we have an edge as we have a marco-understanding of the client’s business and its local market intelligences. This is our first client in Anhui and we have sent two colleagues to be based in Anhui to serve the client specifically."

Earlier this year, China Mobile renewed its media agency contract with Zenith Media after a four-way pitch with Mindshare, Carat and Universal McCann.

Meanwhile, Ogilvy & Mather confirmed that Ogilvy Shanghai has won Anhui Mobile's creative account, but was unable to provide further details.
