Apart from UM and ZenithOptimedia, DDB Guoan is also in BoC's agency roster in mainland China.

DDB Hong Kong has already been the creative AOR for the bank since 2009, with DDB Guoan in Beijing winning the project account only recently.

Bank of China has been one of the core customers for UM Beijing since last year, while ZenithOptimedia also holds the credit card media work for Bank Of Communications, a state-owned rival bank of BoC.

According to admanGo data, print adspend for BoC in the mainland during the last quarter (Jul - Sept) was RMB 38.6 million. For the whole of 2011, RMB 155.9 million was spent.

It is understood that the current creative and media work undertaken for Bank Of China is for a non-card financial product.
