TripAdvisor aims to create one-stop shop with Deliveroo deal

British food delivery startup Deliveroo has linked up with TripAdvisor to integrate its restaurant network across the travel booking site's desktop, mobile and app platforms for the UK and selected markets in Europe and Asia-Pacific.

That means visitors browsing the restaurant listings under TripAdvisor will be able to order food from Deliveroos's restaurant partners and get directed to Deliveroo's site. The feature is available in 12 markets, including three in Asia-Pacific: UK, Ireland, France, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. It involves more than 20,000 restaurant partners. TripAdvisor did not disclose the terms and length of its partnership with Deliveroo.

Bertrand Jelensperger, senior vice-president of TripAdvisor Restaurants, said the collaboration with Deliveroo is intended to make the site a one-stop shop for diners. "Through this partnership with Deliveroo, we aim to give our restaurant listings a new way to engage with the TripAdvisor community—both at home and on-the-go," Jelensperger said in a statement. "TripAdvisor is already a highly effective marketing platform for restaurants, and new services like food delivery create incremental value for both businesses as well as consumers," he added.
