ASIA-PACIFIC - In a move intended to bolster its region-wide capabilities in brand activation, experiential marketing, and public relations, TBWA has appointed Kelly Bennett, founder and managing partner of Eleven PR New Zealand, to a regional role.

Bennett will lead an expansion of teh services for the network throughout Asia-Pacific, according to Keith Smith, TBWA’s president, international.

Operating out of Auckland, Bennett will be charged with fostering inter-agency collaboration, growth and development throughout TBWA offices in Asia, including Singapore (T\PR), Vietnam (BIZ\TEQUILA), Australia and New Zealand (Eleven PR). He will continue to further develop brand activation and PR specialties in other APAC offices as well.

“The rules around client engagement have changed as the broad role of brand activation and PR in the communications mix has become more important," Smith said. Like social media, PR and experiential marketing are now critical parts of all strategic planning, and Bennett's blend of experience, leadership and new business skills will enable him to replicate in Asia the successes he has had in New Zealand, Smith added.

“This new move is the natural next step in terms of the network’s vision to create best-of-breed specialist agencies in Asia Pacific,” Bennett said.
