Farrell's appointment follows the recent appointment of Charles Clapshaw as president of Tequila Digital for the Asia Pacific region, and is aimed at driving the digital agenda for all TBWA Group companies as well as the rapidly growing Tequila Digital specialist brand.

Farrell also assumes the role of managing director on the Visa account in Asia Pacific, responsible for the strategic planning and go-to-market execution in Singapore as well as 13 offices across the region.

A digital veteran, Farrell comes to Singapore from TBWA Toronto, Canada, where he forged relationships in the digital area for 12 years, integrating analog and digital teams within international advertising agencies.

Most recently, he led some of TBWA Toronto's largest international accounts, including Visa and Nissan, and has handled a number of local clients and global brands from Canada.

Commenting on his digital integration background, Farrell said, "It's not simply about having a digital practice; it's about having everyone practice digital that will drive the agency in the years to come."

Phillip Brett, TBWA's president of South and Southeast Asia added, "The concept of digital futures can't be achieved without the right people who have the right mindsets. Brent's extensive experience at the forefront of digital is vital in helping TBWA and Tequila grow, both throughout the region and the network at large, and further develop Singapore as a centre of excellence for the region."
