SINGAPORE - This year's Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity will include a new content stream, TechTalk, presented by innovative tech companies from across Asia-Pacific.

Spikes Asia launches TechTalk with MediaLink and OMG

TechTalk is a collaboration between Spikes Asia and advisory firm MediaLink, in partnership with Omnicom Media Group. The series is a presentation of six curated talks during the festival, which takes place 15-17 September in Singapore.

“With emerging companies either based in Asia or looking to Asia for expansion, TechTalk will play a key role in the programming lineup at Spikes," said Terry Savage, chairman of Lions Festivals.

TechTalk was first launched at the Cannes Lions, also in collaboration with MediaLink, last year and was again featured this year, with topics ranging from native advertising to content tech. Speakers were from companies such as Outbrain, Machinima, Maker, Vibrant, Shazam, PubMatic, and Conde Nast Entertainment.

The talk at Spikes this year will continue this tradition with participation from companies like Trinax, which uses proprietary technology to address smart media and digital signage technologies, as well as Videology, an enterprise technology company that allows brands, agencies and media companies to plan and execute video ad campaigns using features and specifications typical to TV while taking advantage of the advanced targeting, optimisation, and efficiencies of digital media. Also speaking will be Amobee, a division of SingTel’s Digital L!fe Group.

On the partnership, Cheuk Chiang, CEO of Omnicom Media Group, Asia-Pacific, said, “Omnicom Media Group and its brands OMD, PHD and M2M have always believed in supporting new and innovative companies that bring fresh ways of working to our clients. Driving innovation has and will always be at the heart of what we do, so supporting these young companies is important to us.”
