Singapore NEA appoints agencies for dengue prevention campaign

SINGAPORE - The National Environment Agency (NEA) has appointed DDB Group Singapore to handle its creative duties for its dengue prevention campaign.

Singapore NEA appoints agencies for dengue prevention campaign

DDB Singapore is tasked to develop the marketing publicity campaign, including family and community engagement through social media and content development, with a focus on making dengue prevention a part of everyday life for Singaporeans.

OMD, meanwhile, is the media partner for DDB Singapore for this campaign.

David Tang, president and CEO of DDB Group Singapore, noted that it is a formidable challenge that calls for pragmatic and ingenious ways to get every family and a nation into the act for dengue prevention.

This win also marks a return for DDB to work on the dengue prevention campaign as the agency worked on the account in 2007 and 2008. Asatsu-DK is the incumbent, having held the account since 2010.

The campaign is expected to be rolled out in June.

NEA awarded DDB the account after a competitive pitch process, which involved 12 creative and media agencies. It is understood that agencies involved in the pitch, which was called in February, are BBH, Ogilvy, TBWA and JWT.
