Samir Singh joins Colgate-Palmolive as regional marketing EVP

Samir Singh, who led Unilever as chair, Unilever Asia and head, Unilever Singapore Hub, has announced his new move.

The veteran marketing leader will be joining Colgate-Palmolive as EVP, marketing for the Asia-Pacific division, effective December 1, 2024. Colgate-Palmolive's former APAC chief marketer, Yves Briantais, moved to New York in June this year for a global creative role within the company.

Singh announced in a LinkedIn post, "Looking forward to this exciting role, and to be a part of a great organisation, with great brands and great people!"

Singh's career at Unilever began in 1998 as an area sales manager at Hindustan Unilever. He progressed through the various sales and marketing roles, including senior brand manager for skincare, regional brand manager for SEA and the Middle East, and global brand director for Vaseline. His portfolio included skincare, bath and body, and makeup categories.

In 2020, Singh became Unilever’s global executive VP for skin cleansing and oral care and subsequently the CMO for personal care in 2022, overseeing marketing activities for brands such as Axe/Lynx, Closeup, Dove, Lifebuoy, Lux, Pepsodent, Rexona/Sure, and others.

Singh was a member of Campaign Asia-Pacific's Power List in 2022 and 2023.
