Pertamina launches creative and media pitch in Indonesia
According to sources, Pertamina invited 11 media agencies to pitch for the business out which only five participated in the first round. The company is now believed to have shortlisted Dentsu Media Cubic and Activate for its business.

The company is also believed to be looking for an agency to handle its corporate account. The current pitch is part of a mandatory review the giant corporation undertakes every year.

Pertamina's last big pitch was in March 2009 in which eleven agencies were involved.

In 2008, local shop Satu Citra won the creative and media duties for Pertamina's campaign to persuade consumers to switch from kerosene oil to LPG.

Pertamina’s gas stations offer fuel products including Gasoline, Bio Pertamax, Pertamax Plus, Bio Solar, Pertamina Dex and Vigas.

The company’s gas stations have been focusing on high service standards in the face of competition from Shell, which has managed to open 19 high-end stations in the country since 2006.
