Low, the man behind the Uniquely Singapore and the recent YourSingapore campaigns, propelled the Lion City's tourism, which received close to a million visitors in March, whilst strengthening the portal's online presence. These initiatives led to the new STB website see a visitor rate that surpassed that of 'Uniquely Singapore'.

The engineer-turned-marketer was born in Malaysia and officially became a Singapore citizen just this year. He had previously worked as a marketing executive in international firms such as Warner Brothers Singapore, Citibank and consultancy Concept Factory.

Low also worked as a musical director and composed music for the 1997 Action Theatre hit musical, Chang & Eng, about the famous Siamese twins as well as the theme song for the 'Uniquely Singapore' campaign. The campaign ran for six years before being replaced in March by a newly integrated brand under the 'YouSingapore' tagline.

Tanuj Philips, CEO of Y&R, the creative agency which was involved in Uniquely Singapore campaign from 2006-09 said: "Ken was truly passionate about what he believed in. He had zest in everything he did and that made our interactions more memorable and meaningful. He will be missed."
