SINGAPORE - Mead Johnson Nutrition has appointed Saatchi & Saatchi and Nurun as its digital agency of record for South Asia following a pitch.

Mead Johnson Nutrition awards digital duties to Saatchi & Saatchi and Nurun

The appointment expands Saatchi & Saatchi’s remit with the client. The agency served as its creative agency of record across Asia-Pacific for the past 13 years. Isobar is believed to have been involved in the pitch.

Angeli Beltran, director of digital marketing and CRM at Mead Johnson Nutrition said the company is looking to engage with consumers more deeply and “fuel the consumer experience digitally”.

Lou Dela Pena, CEO of Publicis Communications Singapore, said clients are increasingly looking for a single agency not only in creative, but in consumer insights, digital, CRM, e-commerce and technology.

Joanne Theseira, general manager at Nurun Singapore added that while both Saatchi & Saatchi and Nurun have core areas of expertise, the "new structure and unified P&L" will make it easier for the agencies to support clients in a unified way.

The announcement follows recent client wins at sister creative agencies Publicis Singapore (Health Promotion Board) and Leo Burnett (Christmas On A Great Street 2016), and its appointment for FWD Singapore.

All three agencies are housed under the Publicis Communications umbrella, after holding company Publicis Groupe announced at the start of the year that it would reorganise its agencies to eliminate silos and offer a more integrated service for clients.
