How did you get into advertising?
My father owned two advertising agencies, so I basically grew up around the business. I kind of brought into the idea of living the ad lifestyle at an early age. I dig what I do; I love the life I lead so I do thank my dad for stopping me from being a cars salesman.

What was your first ever ad?
First ad would have been a Mars TV spot which got pulled off the air because it was apparently a bad influence on kids. Good start.

Which ad do you wish you'd made?
I'm jealous of Million, the New York City Department of Education campaign as it was more than just an ad. Brilliant!

What was your worst job ever?
Usually student jobs are the worst to have; yet I worked part time in a surf shop. Life was good with lots of perks.

What qualities do you look for in a prospective employee?
Hunger to be the best.

What does it take to impress you?
Hunger to be the best.

Where do you go to be inspired?
The toilet. It's the most quiet place in the house and you know no one will disturb you so you can think in peace.

Who do you consider to be a creative genius?
Philippe Petit. I actually think what he did was so creative and yet had all the ingredients for a great ad. Lets break it down. He said lets start when everyone said it was impossible, took six months of careful planning, definitely crazy, incredibly risky and he made headlines advertising himself around the world. If you don't know whom Philippe is and what he did, then go buy 'Man on Wire', it's mind blowing.

If you were not working in advertising, where would you work?
I'd probably not work and just hang at my beach house.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Granger has got me hooked on old classic vehicles and bikes. I just brought a SS90
motorbike which is my favorite thing in my life besides my wife (incase she's reading this).

What would you like to be in a next life?
Myself, I've had a good life.

What is your favourite word?
Floccinaucinihilipilification, but only when I'm reviewing work.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
Umm turn on the lights?

Worst haircut you've ever had?
All of them.
