A large number of agencies were linked to the pitch which was originally called mid-2010, as part of a mandatory bi-annual check of roster agencies, a common practice for all government-linked companies.

Following some controversy over pitch fees, late 2010 saw a short-list of five that was reported to include Dentsu, JWT, Lowe, Euro RSCG and Spa Hakuhodo.

The previous account review, concluded January 2009, saw Thai Airways split its account between Dentsu, JWT and Lowe following a four-way review.
