Leo Burnett Manila promotes new chief creative officer

MANILA - Leo Burnett Manila has promoted executive creative director Raoul Panes as chief creative officer.

This appointment will see Panes overseeing the work of the Leo Burnett Group in Manila which includes Leo Burnett, Blackpencil and Arc Worldwide.

Raymond Arrastia, managing director at Leo Burnett Manila, said, “Not only is Raoul a multi-awarded and seasoned creative director, he also firmly believes that creativity and efficacy joined together creates excellent advertising, and is passionate in guiding and nurturing young creative talents.”

Panes joined Leo Burnett in 2007 as executive creative director, replacing Richard Irvine. Panes was previously the executive creative director at BBDO Guerrero Ortega, now known as BBDO Guerrero.

Irvine is now the chief creative officer at Publicis Malaysia.

Panes has won recognition at Cannes Lions, The One Show, D&AD, AdFest, Spikes Asia, New York Festivals, London International Awards and Clio Awards.

He has also served as president of the Creative Guild of the Philippines, and chairman of the biennial Philippine Advertising Congress Araw Awards. Among his past creative judging duties are Busan AdStars, New York Festivals, Clio and Cannes Lions.
