Desai will report to India's chief operating officer Jishnu Sen. Desai has been with Grey for 11 years. Starting at Trikaya Grey in Kolkata, he was most recently the associate VP and director of client servicing at Grey Mumbai. His focus was Grey's HoReCa (hotel, restaurant and café) service.
Desai also has experience in the automobile, media, FMCG, hospitality and tobacco sectors for the Indian market.
"I am extremely pleased to have Desai, a Grey veteran, head our Delhi office," said Sen. "We have great clients in Delhi like Dabur and GlaxoSmithKline and I am excited about what we can do with Desai leading our enthusiastic Delhi team."
In March, Grey Mumbai hired Hari Krishnan as the asscociate VP and branch head in March. He was previously the vice-president of Star TV.
