IAB announces 2020 co-chairs and board members

The IAB Southeast Asia (SEA) and India has announced new regional board members following its 2020 election.

New co-chairs for the next 12 months are Rose Huskey, Southeast Asia CEO at Wavemaker, and Justin Peyton, APAC chief transformation & strategy officer at Wunderman Thompson. They will join Miranda Dimopoulos, current CEO of IAB SEA+India.

A new lineup of 2020 regional board members was also announced:

  • Alex Sibois - Director, Head of Agency and Channel Sales, APAC, LinkedIn
  • Carl Nawagamuwa - Head of Platform Sales, SEA, Google
  • Cindy Tan - Global Vice President, Retail and APAC, Display, TripAdvisor
  • David Goodfellow - Strategic Partnerships Director, International, Oracle Data Cloud
  • Dawn Chan - International Business Director, South China Morning Post
  • James Sampson - Regional Head, Strategy & Partnerships, GrabAds
  • Jessica Beaton - Director, Media & Digital Marketing, APAC, Studios, The Walt Disney Company
  • Karen Teo - Vice President, Global Business Group, APAC, Facebook
  • Laura Quigley - Managing Director, SEA, Integral Ad Science
  • Matt Harty - Senior Vice President, Asia, The Trade Desk
  • Monica Bhatia - Senior Vice President, Client Partner, APAC, Essence
  • Sonal Patel - Managing Director, SEA, Quantcast

This year’s board is made up of 60% women, an increase on last year’s 50%. Plus, for the first time, this year’s election included homegrown super apps alongside the usual roster of publishers, creative and media agencies, and platforms.

“Our regional board this year can only continue to lead the way in how to excel here, no matter the economic climate,” said Wavemaker’s Huskey. “The IAB SEA+India’s swift adjustment to anticipate and meet the new needs of the industry is why I didn’t hesitate to be more involved with the executive committee.”

Wunderman Thompson’s Peyton added that Dimopoulos and her team have done a “stellar job of pivoting quickly to ensure initiatives are as unaffected as possible”.

The organisation also shared it’s 2020 business strategy with members three weeks ago, and it included the prioritisation of training and certification development as well as moving all working groups and committees towards virtual meetings.
