The hotel chain launched in October 2009 in Beijing. At the time, Ruder Finn helped with the opening and worked to develop the brand’s public image.

With its new appointment, the agency will manage its long-term strategic planning as well as help the brand build its portfolio and image both domestically and internationally.

The win adds to Ruder Finn’s list of travel and tourism accounts, including the Canadian Tourism Commission and Emirates Airlines.

Tangla is fully owned by the Hainan Airlines Group, which is China’s fourth-largest airline group and ranks among the top three of China’s largest hotel groups.

According to the agency, the group looks to position Tangla Hotels and Resorts as one of the top oriental brands globally and aims to open more hotels in tier-one cities and tourism destinations across China.
