EnjoyMeitian, meaning ‘enjoy everyday', negotiates discount deals with local businesses to provide daily offers on restaurants, bars, spas, salon, yoga studio, entertainment, health and lifestyle services in Shanghai.

Jeff Moger, CEO of EnjoyChina, said: "There has been a surge in the number of online ‘tuan gou' sites launching in China recently, and that is likely to continue." ‘Tuan gou' is a recent shopping model trends of group buying in China, inspired by US-based Groupon.

Market research firm Analysys International states this e-commerce sector is to amount to US$143.77 million in China this year. EnjoyChina's current existing relationships with retailers for its VIP privilege program of EnjoyShanghai magazine will benefit the new lifestyle-focused EnjoyMeitian website.

Earlier this month, Sina and Tencent has also reported to join the online frenzy of this collective buying service in China.
