Chunghwa Telecom calls creative and media pitches in Taiwan

An agency source who is joining the pitch told Campaign Asia-Pacific that the pitch includes two rounds, with the second round taking place this Friday, while the creative and media pitches will be run separately.

United Advertising and Carat are the current creative and media agencies for Chunghwa Telecom, respectively.

Chunghwa Telecom’s main business is in mobile, broadband, IDD and IPTV. Industry sources said it is a market leader in the Taiwan telecommunications sector, while Taiwan Mobile and Far Eastone Telecommunications occupy slightly smaller market shares.

Chunghwa Telecom was established in 1996 as part of the Taiwan government's privatisation efforts. Prior to this, it operated as a business unit of the Directorate General of Telecommunications for over 100 years.

The company is listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
