Petronas' tells tale of two kampung houses for Hari Raya Aidilfitri

The oil company's film for this year is a Ghibli-esque animated story, by Ensemble Worldwide.

Longtime neighbours make a new connection amid the pandemic in ‘Antara Dua Jendela’ (‘Between two windows’), this year's Hari Raya film from Malaysia's national petrol company, Petronas, and Ensemble Worldwide. The animated film was directed by Ismail Kamarul and produced by Reservoir World.

The film is on the brand's YouTube and Facebook channels, and a 90-second version will air on TV through 14 June.

Ad Nut is not sure why the houses appear to be sentient, nor why they make googly eyes at each other but then play no further role in the plot. But Ad Nut enjoyed the Studio Ghibli-style animation.
