WorkSafe Victoria | Get a WorkHealth Check | Australia

WorkSafe, an Australian labour safety organisation, is promoting a free healthcare service called WorkHealth in a through-the-line campaign developed by Grey Melbourne and running across the state of Victoria.

The ad illustrates that, apart from being safe in the worlplace, employees should also pay attention to their own health. The WorkHealth campaign asks the burning question: “Are you as healthy as you think”? The main TV spot starts with an eerie opening of empty workstations. But it ends on a more upbeat note as it becomes apparent that workers are just taking time off for body checks.

Supported by television, outdoor, print and radio advertisements, the commercials intends to drive people to the WorkHealth website. From healthprogramme information and case studies, the site also hosts all the campaign's TVCs.

“This campaign had to do a different job for two key audiences. It had to motivate employers to apply, hopefully helped by a bit of healthy pressure from their employees,” said David Dumas, business director at Grey Melbourne. The fifteen minutes to the door free check-up at work is an encouraging factor for employers and workers to sign up. "Why wouldn’t you?”, added Dumas.

In 2008, WorkSafe Victoria was known for its gruesome yet truthful ads for a young workers' safety campaign.
