Audrey Michelin

Senior director, Account Management APAC
Open X
Australia

Audrey Michelin’s career trajectory reflects a blend of technical expertise and business acumen honed across distinct media roles. Starting in Ad Ops at ARN, a major Australian radio network, she transitioned to a customer success role at Sizmek before returning to the publisher side leading the digital product team at MCN (now Foxtel Media), overseeing value-based projects including CMS and ad server migrations, and implementing digital ad insertion into Foxtel's OTT platforms.

At OpenX, Michelin leverages her technical background in a client-facing capacity. Initially a senior account manager for ANZ, she rose through the ranks to lead APAC account management for publishers and buyers. Responsible for team building, process implementation, and operational oversight, under her leadership, ANZ, Southeast Asia, and North Asia have experienced year-on-year double-digit revenue growth for the last two years, surpassing industry averages.

Michelin has also introduced process improvements across deal workflows, reporting, and operations, spearheading the development of a best-practice framework for Programmatic Guaranteed deals, now adopted globally by OpenX. Another standout achievement is consolidating APAC account management by merging the supply and demand teams under a single umbrella. This structure now also serves as a model for OpenX teams worldwide.

Her industry contributions deserve a shout-out: An accomplished leader recognised for her commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion, Michelin is passionate about mentoring and creating opportunities for women, evident in her work and memberships with The Women in Programmatic Network (TWIPN—including organising numerous networking events and the TWIP interns program) and her collaboration with IAB Australia on the impactful ‘A Seat at the Table’ blog series. She also carves time for serving as jury for several industry awards.

Beyond the nine-to-six, Michelin leads a wholesome life: She is actively involved in animal rescue and holds the Australian national record for deadlift in the U90kg raw tested category. Her leadership style is equally impressive. Colleagues find her supportive, adaptable, collaborative, and inclusive, making her a true leader in every sense of the word.
