WFH diary: From taking calls in the shower to interacting with plants

The creative director at BBH Singapore sketches her WFH routine.

Do I work at home or do I live at work? That’s the latest inner struggle I have in my life. But I like it. So far, at least. I get to hot desk around the house, plan my work outfits differently, and of course, work with an interesting deskmate who’s slightly more demanding than my usual colleagues (shoutout to my dear husband).

In a span of eight hours, I get to shift between being a CD and a wife. Sometimes I mix them up, but luckily no one's judging. I feel like I might just get the hang of it pretty soon.

Here’s my day one to five on repeat.

(For more WFH diaries, see here. More to come).

07:59
Wake up one minute before a meeting. Not late.

08:35
Nap after the meeting. Because work only starts at 9am.

10:32
Forget that I have another meeting. So I call in live from the shower.

12:28
Order in lunch and eat at desk. Keep up the feeling of normalcy.

13:00
[Insert work here]

15:07
Exercise aka walk 15 steps around the house to interview the plants.

16:00
Break time: Karaoke Hangouts. Dial-in with 50 other people from the agency.

17:45
Prepare for the last 15 minutes of the day. This is the daily CD-to-wife handover. [Day may or may not end at this point; overtime has become a blurry concept.]
