The pitch, which also included three local agencies, started three months ago. The appointment marks the first time the client appoints a 4A media agency.

The agency will be responsible for all aspects of the brand's communication from its strategy through to media planning and execution.

Zhong Shen seeks to maintain its competitive advantage and position itself as an eco-friendly transport solution in the mainland.

The agency explained that gasoline-based motorcycles are currently restricted or even banned as a local transport method in 170 cities across China. Despite this, motorcycle brands still boast with a majority market share in China due to their cheaper cost and nation-wide sales and distribution channels.

Zong Shen plans to bring on international partners to develop its new electric motorcycle models.

This win adds to Vizeum's new business this year alongside tissue brand Mayflower and Sanquan Frozen Foods.
