Orion Confectionery, established in 1958, is one of the three largest food companies in Korea with manufacturing facilities in Korea, China, Russia, Vietnam and the USA.

The pitch, which also included incumbent Starcom and UM, took place in November. Starcom has been working on the account for over two years alongside creative agency Cheil.

The client has four main product categories including chocolate, chewing gum, biscuit and snack. In China, where its most popular product is Choco Pie, main direct competitors include Lotte and Master Kong from Taiwan.

Orion adds to Vizeum’s FMCG client portfolio, which also includes Chinese wonton brand San Quan, Shanghai Guangming Foods and Taiwan Sin Ho.
