From the nine agencies which presented earlier, up to seven have been asked to return. They are thought to include McCann Worldgroup and Saatchi & Saatchi, as well as those with media agency partners such as DDB/ZenithOptimedia and TBWA/PHD.

The URA first put out the tender for a marketing communications partner for the Marina Bay Series in mid-September.

2010 is set to be a milestone year for Marina Bay with the completion of many key developments and projects in the precinct.

A yearlong series of events and activities, tentatively named Marina Bay Series 2010, has been proposed to showcase Singapore’s new city centre at Marina Bay, which will feature commercial and residential properties for locals to live, work and play in.

The appointed agency or agencies would be charged with executing integrated marketing communications, new media and website development initiatives as well as media planning and buying duties.

The appointment is expected to be made by November and will end in March 2011.

Separately, Marina Bay Sands Shoppes, the shopping mall within the integrated resort in the precinct, handed its creative account to Bates141 following a competitive pitch in September.
