TVB launches 'Season of love' marketing platform

HONG KONG - Following the success of last year, TVB has launched this year's 'Season of love' multimedia marketing platform, combining Valentine’s Day on 14 February, Chinese Lantern Festival on 17 February and Japan White Valentine’s Day on 14 March.

Among this year's sponsors are Citibank, Osim, Travel Expert, and Ocean Park. This year also sees the addition of new sponsors Broadway, Nikon, Nokia, Sasa and Itacho Sushi, among others.

A total of 40 new Valentine's themed TV and movie programmes will be broadcast on TVB, HD Jade, J2, Pearl and TVB.com from 17 February to 14 March. TVB fans could also watch new love dramas with the launch of an iPhone app next week.

Among its new programme line up is Telepathy - an eight-episode quiz and talk show for TVB artists who are couples - and You, We and Them - a new drama series based on well-known works by Taiwanese illustrator Jimmy.

"In the past, Valentine's days are only limited to lovers and couples," said Jordan Lau, head of product management and development, marketing and sales division of TVB, "We hope this annual 'Season of love' marketing platform could creative an vibe and environment for audiences and advertisers to extend their love and warm to their families, friends and colleagues."
