The contest invites the public to portray their perceptions of Hong Kong. The contest comprises of two categories including creative professionals and the public. The top three winners will win cash prizes and the gold winners will win a two-week display for the winning design at tram shelters.
The contest is hosted on Poad Group’s Facebook page.
“Tram shelters are among the most valuable cultural heritages in Hong Kong. Through this contest, we would like to present a brand-new Hong Kong at tram shelters,” said Bruno Charrade, managing director of HKT.
The advertisements for the contest features different styles of handwritten chinese characters meaning ‘Hong Kong’. The ad then purposely leaves a blank at the end of the handwritten text, asking the public to complete the sentence with their ‘idea’ of what Hong Kong is like.
Entry for the contest ends on 8 September. Teresa Fung, deputy managing director of Poad, adds, “We believe tram shelters are an excellent platform to showcase creative concepts. We look forward to receiving outstanding designs.”
Poad is a leading outdoor billboard and signage company in Hong Kong.
