TBWA Hakuhodo hires Gary Klugman as planning director

TOKYO - TBWA Hakuhodo has appointed Gary Klugman as planning director, reporting to the agency's senior planning director Ryuji Uchiyama.

Klugman will be responsible for overseeing many of the TBWA network accounts. He will work closely with Lius DeAnda, TBWA Hakuhodo COO, on new business development.

Klugman joins from Grey Group Japan after seven years with the WPP agency. Prior to that he was at Infoplan McCann.

"We are very excited about Gary joining TBWA Hakuhodo. As we continue to strengthen our position in this market and expand our client roster, he'll bring a necessary perspective and insight to everything we do," said DeAnda.

Klugman has been living in Japan for the past 13 years.
