With the win, the agency will now be responsible for the creative, CRM and digital duties for Smirnoff in the country.

"We highly value Bates 141's understanding of the category combined with their creative and strategic thinking. The agency shares both our vision and passion.  We look forward to great brand result and long lasting partnership,"  noted Hai Nguyen, Diageo's marketing director.

This adds to the agency’s portfolio of Diageo brands; Bates 141 won the Johnnie Walker account last year following a multi-agency pitch involving four international advertising agencies.

Bates 141 Vietnam also currently handles creative for other products across the Diageo stable, including ultra-premium brands Ciroc and Singleton, on an ad hoc project basis. The agency has also previously worked on the Heineken account.

“Adding Smirnoff to our portfolio was very special to us as it showed the client’s trust in the agency after working on their Johnnie Walker account. We are excited in extending our partnership with Diageo and look forward to rolling out our first campaign later in the year,” remarked Tue Nguyen, managing director at Bates 141 Vietnam, on the win.
